Community Grants

There are various grants open to Individuals, businesses, sporting clubs, registered charities and not-for-profit groups in Queensland.

All three levels of government offer grants from the BCC's Lord Mayor's Community Fund, the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund, to the Federal Government's Local Multicultural Program. There are also a range of local grants such as the Brisbane Airport Giving Fund. Click on the link to visit the portal.

Seniors Cards

People who are Queensland residents for at least six months in the year who are over 65 years of age and work less than 35 hours a week, or are over 60 and hold a health care, pensioner or Veterans Affairs Gold, White or Orange card, may apply by clicking on the card to the left.

The Australian Electoral Commission keeps the electoral roll for all Federal, State and Municipal elections.

Fair Play Vouchers

In 2024 the Miles Government released 200,000 $200 Fair Play Vouchers for Queensland kids to use with registered activity providers.

So far this year, the Crisafulli Government has released none. Please click on the image to the left to check the website to see if any vouchers have been released.

Dump Vouchers

Brisbane City Council provides households with 10 free vouchers each year to dispose of up to 100kgs of waste at the Council's Waste Facilities. Unfortunately, many people either did not receive them, or need more. To get more vouchers, please visit your local BCC Councillor's office at 477 Waterworks Road Ashgrove or 9 South Pine Road, Alderley.

Federal Members

The Electorate of Ferny Grove overlaps with three federal electorates: Dickson, Ryan and Brisbane.

The Federal Government is responsible for: Immigration, Medicare, Taxation, Aviation, Higher Education, Defence, Child Support, Telecommunications, Centrelink matters, Foreign Affairs and Veterans Affairs.

Local Councillors

The Electorate of Ferny Grove sits between two Local Government Authorities: Brisbane City Council (The Gap Ward & Enoggera Ward) and the City of Moreton Bay (Division 10).

Local Councils are responsible for rates, rubbish collection, residential and commercial development, parks, footpaths, street lighting, signage, and local roads.
