Broad Construction has advised my office they are undertaking night works to widen Samford Road and install the culvert upgrade as part of the Ferny Grove Transit Orientated Development.

These works will include improved stormwater channelling which will reduce flood risks and will provide traffic congestion relief and enhance pedestrian access and safety.

Construction is expected to commence in July 2025 and take around 12 months to complete, weather permitting.

To minimize disruptions to commuters and businesses the works will be completed outside standard working hours – including night works. These may involve critical tasks such as service scanning and surveying, infrastructure connections, major concrete pours and Asphalt installs.

Residents and businesses in the surrounding areas will be notified at least 48 hours prior to any night work, with details on the timing, duration, and potential impacts of the activities provided. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience, and mitigation strategies will be employed to reduce noise and other disruptions during these work periods.
