It was disappointing to see comments recently from the Brisbane City Council thanking the Crisafulli Government for funding the Council’s Minnie Street straightening project.
While I am relieved to see this is one of the few projects the Crisafulli Government has not cut or delayed, it is important to point out that the $3.9 million grant for Minnie Street was actually provided under the previous Miles Government. It was part of a record round of Works for Queensland funding to all Councils across the state in October last year. I look forward to seeing this much-needed project delivered for our community.
