This year’s Gallipoli Barracks Open Day was the largest yet.

It was great to join with my Labor Parliamentary colleagues and Brigadier Jen Harris, CSC, the Base Commander, for the flyby and grand opening.

The public was invited to get up close to a range of  equipment including the 40M, HX77, Hawkei, Bushmaster and Boxer. It was a rare opportunity to see these vehicles in person and learn what each one does.

I always enjoy the opportunity to speak with serving personnel and hear from them what their experiences in our armed forces are like.
