If you have driven on Samford Road in Mitchelton recently, you may have noticed that the Glen Holm turning pocket upgrade is now operational.

I am pleased this has now opened as it is already saving valuable time for every motorist who was previously stuck behind only one or two cars turning right of an afternoon.

I have been championing the Samford Rd intersection upgrade project for many years now and was one of the last projects constructed under the previous government.

This is the third intersection on Samford Road to receive an upgrade as part of the Samford Rd intersection upgrade project which was commenced in 2017.

Next up is Osborne Road. The Osborne Rd Intersection has been studied and planned and is ready to go to the Treasury for funding. Unfortunately, it was not included in the budget by the Crisafulli government.

It’s a shame the Crisafulli government doesn’t have the same passion as I do to reduce traffic congestion on Samford Road!
